This short course offered by Wits PLUS is an NQF level 5 certificate course has a 14 week duration and offers learners a broad knowledge of all process involved in the Logistics and supply chain field, how to identify problem areas and devise processes to improve the processes. Most importantly, the learner will be able to implement new ideas, track their prformance and analyse the cost effect of implementing the new processes.
The course is intended for those who may already be working in the field and would like to increase their knowledge and standing in the company with a qualification. The short course in Applied logistics and supply chain management is also ideal for those who are considering a career in Logistics with a view to entering the field with the broad knowledge required to “hit the ground running”
Entry requirements:
English competency, a matric exemption or eligibility for mature age exemption and 3-5 years work experience, preferably in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management is needed.
For the first 12 weeks there will be a 2 hour lecture which will need to be attended, the 13th week is a revision lecture and the last week is a 3 hour exam.
The pass rate is 50% without exception
